Distribution and habitat


From the lower Río Ucayali basin in the west along the Solimões (Amazon) down to the Lago Januari at Manaus in the east; Peru, Colombia and Brazil.

In all the biotopes I have found A. (cf.) bitaeniata ( see pictures ), the bottom has been covered with dead leaves. The pH was below 5,5 and the water was very shallow.

My Experience

Fish from the wild often bring with them some parasites.

All the A. bitaeniatas I've caught in the wild, were forund in quite shallow water with little or no water movement. There were allways dead leaves on the bottom, in witch the fish were hiding, and looking for food.
When I give them surroundings that resembles those of the wild, and give them small food like newly hatched BBS, they seem to have a good time.
No problem having several males in a 160 liters tank (if provided with lots of structure/territory dividers like plants and wood), and I let the fry grow up in the same tank, with the oher fish.

est-ce qu'ils viennent du meme magasin? si c'est le cas , le vendeur est un charlot

nan il ressemble à l'image en haut de cette page,

mais pas au sien,

mais les miens viennent de magasin donc je pense qu'il provienne d'elevage,

en haut de cette page ,c'est bien de l'agassizi,pour savoir si ,élevage ou pas ,il faut demander au vendeur au moment de l'achat, lui seul est capable de le savoir

Bon je confirme vous voulez des piots apisto faire une soupe de poissons dans un bac d'ensemble, laissez mijoter et......
Tada!!!!!!



Bon je déconne le bac spé reste le top car je n'ai pas pu laissé les piots avec maman. Je savais que ce soir il n'y aurais plus rien.
Mais n'empèche les repros se succèdent dans le bac d'ensemble c'est un tantinet énervant quand même.
